Fake Shopify Dashboard: how the Shopify dashboard simulator works

A DashSim Fake Shopify Dashboard recreates the real admin: sales, orders, conversion, sessions. This guide explains how the Shopify dashboard simulator works. 24h and lifetime pricing live on the offers page.

This video may show an older version or a language different from yours; however, the current dashboard is fully up to date, continuously improved, and fully customizable in your exact language.

Fake Shopify Dashboard vs screenshot

A patched screenshot is easy to spot: wrong fonts, flat charts, numbers that break on zoom. A Figma file is clean but static. An app-store mockup waits on review. A DashSim Shopify simulator keeps fonts, layout and motion — in the browser, immediately. Ideal for YouTube, TikTok and agency pitches. Format grid: comparison hub.

Simulator, mockup and generator

DashSim is an interactive Shopify dashboard simulator — not a PNG. It is also a pixel-perfect mockup and a metric generator (sales, orders, conversion) for content and demos.

What you can edit

  • Sales, orders, AOV, conversion
  • Sessions and trends
  • Period charts

Your figures are saved in the browser: a refresh does not wipe them, unlike Inspect Element.

Mobile notifications (lifetime) replay order alerts like the real app. Language and currency are set from your account.

Fake Shopify dashboard screenshots for TikTok, YouTube and pitches

Most people who search for a fake Shopify dashboard want a clean screenshot or clip to drop into a TikTok, a YouTube thumbnail, a course module or an agency pitch. DashSim gives you a full admin to capture instead of a stock image. Open the simulator, set your figures from the remote, then screenshot or record the screen you need:

  • Home — the metric tabs (Sessions, Total sales, Orders, Conversion rate) above the main chart, with the dashed comparison line, the date range, the online-visitors pill and the next payout. The classic “store overview” capture.
  • Analytics — the mini cards, total sales over time, the sales breakdown, average order value, sales by product, the conversion funnel and sessions by device and location. The capture that shows depth, not just one number.
  • Live view — the 3D globe with your own visitor and order markers, visitors right now, total sales, sessions, orders, the customer-behaviour funnel and top locations. The capture that moves, made for video.

For a clean capture: pick the date range before you shoot (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 365 days, Last 12 months, Last week or Last month), set the store name and currency once from the remote, close the panel, then use your OS screenshot tool or a screen recorder at 100% zoom. On desktop the admin sits inside a browser window with the store name in the tab, in light or dark mode, so the frame itself looks right. Fonts, spacing and colours are those of the real admin: the capture holds at full resolution and in a video zoom-in.

The line we do not cross: a simulator is not proof of anything. Use these captures for demos, tutorials, mockups and content. Do not use DashSim to make someone believe you have sales, orders or an income you do not have, and never present a screenshot or a recording as a sales report, a payout confirmation or a statement. That use breaches our Terms — see how we keep DashSim fun and harmless.

What the fake Shopify dashboard shows

Only what exists in the simulator, nothing invented. Three real pages, all driven by the same figures:

  • Home: four metric tabs (Sessions, Total sales, Orders, Conversion rate) with a trend percentage, one line chart for the selected metric with a dashed comparison line, the date picker with its presets and rolling or fixed ranges, the online-visitors pill and the next payout. Under the chart, the “orders to process”, “checkouts to capture” and “return requests” task buttons. While the remote is open you can drag the chart points to reshape the curve without changing the total.
  • Analytics: date range, comparison (previous period or previous year) and currency pickers; mini cards for gross sales, returning customer rate, orders fulfilled and orders; charts for total sales over time and their breakdown (gross, discounts, returns, net, shipping, taxes), average order value, sales by product, sessions and conversion rate over time, the conversion funnel, sessions by device, location and landing page, and sales by social referrer.
  • Live view: a 3D globe you rotate and zoom, with visitor or order markers placed where you click; cards for visitors right now, total sales, sessions and orders with their trends; the customer-behaviour funnel; sessions by location and sales by product.

The remote opens from Settings at the bottom of the left navigation and floats over the admin. Its General tab sets language, currency, store name, visits, total sales, orders, conversion rate and a product list with sales counts; “Apply” updates the numbers, “Generate all” rebuilds every page from them. The Home, Analytics and Live view tabs set the task counters, online visitors and next payout, the returning customer rate and orders fulfilled, each line of the sales breakdown, the funnel, the device, location, landing-page and social lists, the globe marker mode and the live cards with their trends. The Coherent random button generates a coherent set of figures — orders, average order value and conversion rate, then sales and sessions derived from them — for a store size that steps up on each click, from very small to very large, and fills Analytics, Live view and the product list as well. Orders, Products, Customers, Marketing and the other left-nav entries are there for realism but do not open pages: there is no orders list, product catalogue or customer list to screenshot. On mobile (lifetime access) the admin runs as an installed app with the same kind of remote, opened by pressing and holding the top of the screen.

Simulator vs screenshot vs browser extension

Three kinds of tools answer the query “fake Shopify dashboard”, and they are not interchangeable.

  • Edited screenshot: a PNG patched in an image editor or through Inspect Element. Fine for one still image; the fonts drift, the chart stays flat, and nothing survives a scroll, a hover or a second screen.
  • Browser extension: an overlay injected into a real Shopify admin. You need a real store login, the extension must be installed and enabled, and the numbers vanish as soon as the overlay is off or the page reloads without it. It also leaves a real account one click away from your audience.
  • DashSim, a standalone Shopify dashboard simulator: a full clone of Home, Analytics and Live view running in your browser, in a window of its own. No Shopify account, no extension, nothing installed on a real admin. The figures live in DashSim itself, not in a layer painted over someone else’s page, and the same values flow through Home, Analytics and Live view so the screens agree with one another. Language and currency are remembered between sessions, and the mobile app keeps its values on the device.

If you only need one picture, a screenshot may do. If you need a recording, a live pitch, a training session or several consistent captures, you need the simulator.

Realistic numbers for a fake Shopify dashboard

A fake Shopify dashboard is only convincing if the figures hold together the way a real store’s would. A few rules the remote makes easy to respect:

  • Conversion between 1 and 4%. Most stores convert between 1 and 3% of sessions; 4% is a strong niche brand, 10% is a typo. Orders should equal sessions × conversion rate: 24,000 sessions at 1.7% give about 410 orders, not 4,000.
  • An average order value that matches the niche. DashSim computes AOV as total sales ÷ orders, so pick sales and orders together: 25–45 for accessories, 60–120 for apparel, 150 and above for furniture or electronics.
  • A breakdown that stays small. In Analytics, discounts and returns are a few percent of gross sales, shipping and taxes are proportionate, and the funnel narrows at each step: added to cart above reached checkout above completed checkout.
  • Products that add up. Sales counts in the product list are distributed from your orders; three to six products with a clear best-seller look like a shop, twenty products with identical counts do not.
  • Live view in proportion. Visitors right now are a tiny slice of monthly sessions; a store doing 400 orders a month does not have 900 people online at once.

“Coherent random” gives you a consistent starting point for a given store size; “Generate all” rebuilds the other pages from your own General figures. For the full method, read the Shopify dashboard metrics guide and how to create a fake Shopify dashboard.

FAQ

What is a fake Shopify dashboard?

A replica of the Shopify admin with fictional metrics you choose — for demos and content, not a real store login.

Is it a simulator, a mockup or a generator?

All three: an interactive simulator, a faithful admin mockup, and an editable metric generator. Not a Photoshop template.

Can I combine it with Stripe?

Yes. A Shopify + Stripe lifetime bundle is available on the product pages.

Where is 24h and lifetime pricing?

On /product/shopify. This guide explains how it works; it does not sell access.

Can I take screenshots of the fake Shopify dashboard?

Yes. Set your figures from the remote, open Home, Analytics or Live view and capture the screen with your OS tool or a recorder: you get a fake Shopify dashboard screenshot at real resolution, fonts and spacing. Use it for demos, tutorials, mockups and content — never as proof of sales or income to a buyer, an investor or a platform.

Is it an extension installed on my real Shopify admin?

No. DashSim is a standalone Shopify dashboard simulator that runs in its own browser window. Nothing is installed on a real admin, no Shopify login is needed, and the figures live in the simulator instead of disappearing with an overlay.

Do my numbers stay after a refresh?

Yes. Your figures are saved in the browser. Reload the page, close the tab, come back later — the dashboard still shows your numbers. Unlike an Inspect Element edit, nothing resets when you hit refresh.
